The press conference to launch the activities of the 6th International DIAFA Festivals Awards was held on October 4th, 2022 in the presence of the awards committee, partners, sponsors, and fellow journalists from the Arab world and around the globe, with the cooperation and sponsorship of Algedra Group.

On November 4, 2022, an event in recognition will take place at Dubai Creek Harbour Marina. A festival called ‘the Distinctive International Arab Festivals Awards (DIAFA)’ honors outstanding and creative individuals from all walks of life and around the globe. These people are honored in Dubai, a glittering and cutting-edge city.

The sixth edition of the DIAFA Awards is dedicated to the spirit of late artist Warda Al-Jazaeryia, who is revered as one of the Arab world's symbols, and to remember her ten years after her passing.

DIAFA will host honorees from 18 countries for the first time, including the host country UAE, and respective nations of France, Tanzania, Pakistan, India, Tunisia, Jordan, the Sultanate of Oman, and Saudi Arabia.

The red carpet portion of the festival will begin at 6:00 p.m., and the honoring festival will start at 20:30. The festival will be televised live on eight television channels and broadcast platforms throughout the Arab world and the rest of the globe, along with a live broadcast on Weyak, the top Arab platform that provides a selection of the top movies, television shows, and unique Arabic, Indian, and Turkish programs that appeals to viewers of all ages and tastes in the Arab world.

One of the DIAFA Awards honorees is Mohab Ayoub, CEO of Algedra Group. He will receive the honor of ‘DIAFA 2022 FALCON OF THE YEAR’ and will be hailed as a success story.
