Auguste Perret, the Belgium architect was born in 1874 and died in 1954 in Paris, he was listed amongst the major Art Deco era architects in France, he was an entrepreneur in the field of using reinforced concrete in building, and his work of arts are still standing the test of time as a historical landmarks in France, such as the Church of Notre-Dame du Raincy and the French Economic, Social and Environmental Council, but the most impressive of all was his fine work of the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées.

It took the time from year 1911 till 1913 to build the theatre to become the first representative building of Art Deco Style in architecture and interior design in Paris!

The blueprints were put by the architect Henry Van de Velde for the purpose of providing a location to display and demonstrate the Contemporary style of arts like Operas, Orchestras, and variety of contemporary arts of dancing. The name comes from the famous Parisian neighborhood it is located in, Champs-Élysées. 

The building itself was a revolution, it was built on a rectangular shape on ground, designed with sharp clean lines stirring away from the Art Nouveau Style that dominated the area in that era. Decoration was attached to the outside on plaques of marble and stucco.

It was quite interesting, for the building's concrete construction was not merely a stylistic choice. Subsoil conditions and the site's proximity to the Seine made concrete necessary. It looked mesmerizingly unique and different from all the surrounding buildings designed on Art Nouveau Style.
